was lowering himself into the seat of his car, an immense shock overwhelmed his
mind and overcame his entire body. A sharp pain

as he struggled to stand up using the open car door as a crutch.

Giovanni focused all his mental concentration on releasing himself from the
physical paralysis he suffered, caused by the sensations of panic and loss that
rushed into his mind. “It is Mira and so
many others,” he thought again to himself. “They are all in so much pain…
