Eternal
Curse: Giovanni’s Angel chapter 6
Mira stood in the cool blowing breeze of the
night air, and looked up into the sky and stared at the moon. She knew Abraham
was right; she’d lost her faith a long time ago. Most of the time, she just
pretended to believe in something. Mira had come to a point in her life where
she only believed in what she could see and feel. She understood that faith was
simply a leap she just hadn’t been able to take.
If only
she could get over herself and her circumstances, make the choice to believe in
something bigger than herself, maybe Giovanni wouldn’t be such a puzzle to her.
Mira searched the sky that night, hoping to see the majestic bird of her dreams
soar across the heavens giving her a reason to believe in something, but the
night was growing colder. Mira waited until she could wait no more, and then
scurried off to bed.
