Curse: Giovanni’s Angel chapter 7
Mira decided to go for a walk and look around
for Giovanni. She searched the house and the lab, but he wasn’t there. She
searched the sheds, the greenhouse, and the gardens, but he wasn’t there. She
ran up and down the orchards, but still could not find him. Then she wandered
out into the wilderness that surrounded the estate. She walked and walked,
forgetting why she was there and what she was looking for. Mid-day came along
and Mira thought briefly of Giovanni hiding away from the sunlight, and
remembered her reason for wandering. As Mira looked all around her, she
realized that she was lost. She twirled around several times and noticed
nothing seemed recognizable to her and that there was no sign of a path nearby.
