Eternal
Curse: Giovanni’s Angel chapter 3
Mira’s heartbeat began to slow down to a
concentrated pulse as she stood there for what seemed an eternity. The wind
seemed to stop blowing as the leaves’ rustling made no sound. Her breath barely
floated out from her chest as Giovanni began to emerge from behind the shed
door that opened slowly. He stepped out onto the path, carefully avoiding the
sunlight, and closed the door behind him. He stood up straight and stared
across the path at his guest for the first time in utter amazement. Mira looked
at Giovanni from across the path and made eye contact with him for a split
second, before she slowly tilted her head to one side while trying to call out,
“Giovvv?” Then she fell to the ground, fainting from the overwhelming
anticipation and shock.
